WATERBURY – Mrs. Bessie D. (Patestos) Morris, 89, was reunited with God on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Saint Mary’s Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael P. Morris.

Bessie was born in Eressos, Mytilene, Greece, on Oct. 13, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Viola (Achlioptas) Patestos. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed Fridays with her friends at Prospect Senior Center.

Bessie leaves a daughter, Diane Morris of Waterbury; three grandchildren, Michelle Bell and her husband, Robert, Korena Graffam and her husband, Ryan, Ralph Anderson III and his wife, Tracey; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Louzitotis and her husband, John, of Waterford; and a son-in-law, Ralph Anderson Jr. of Prospect. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Anderson.

A calling hour will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Her funeral service will follow in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
