Accenture opens IIoT innovation centre in Modena

Accenture has announced the opening of a new industrial internet of things (IIoT) Innovation Centre in Modena in northern Italy, part of the company’s Industry X.0 Innovation Network in Europe. Clients visiting the centre will be able to explore and test key IoT technologies designed to offer improvements in product development, engineering, manufacturing, customer experiences and cybersecurity. The space has been set up in collaboration with HPE COXA, a Modena-based company specialising in engineering activities for the automotive, motorsport and automation solutions sector.

Technologies and processes on offer include IIoT- and software-enabled management of connected businesses, plants, machinery and equipment, “Connected Industrial Worker” solutions to enhance operational safety, effectiveness and efficiency, as well as the analysis of data produced by IoT sensors via cloud and big data, and transformational ideas for loading operations through real-time analytics.

The new facility is part of an extensive USD 1.4 billion investment programme by Accenture to expand its Industry X.0 business.
