Bucking the norms...throughout his time in the White House, President Trump has repeatedly broke with tradition.
And for a commander-in-chief who on the campaign trail bragged about his smarts, “I went to an Ivy League School, I’m very highly educated, I know words.
I have the best words.” According to the Washington Post, he has rarely read the President’s Daily Brief, a practice followed by seven presidents before him.
That’s a document that pulls together the most important information from US intelligence agencies.
Instead, the President prefers an oral briefing of select issues.
The Post cities a person with knowledge of the situation, “Reading the traditionally dence intelligence book is not Trump’s preferred style of learning.” The oral briefings in the Oval Office are put together with photos, videos and graphics.
Intelligence experts told the paper that his reluctance to read the daily brief makes Trump and the country more vulnerable.
