CM diverting Kunduli case: Dharmendra

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister is trying to handover investigations of the Kunduli gangrape and suicide cases to a SIT instead of a court-monitored SIT.

He demanded that a case be filed against the DGP as the victim had accused him of bribing her to keep mum regarding gangrape.

He again alleged that the family of the victim has alleged that the police are now trying to destroy the suicide note written by the victim herself.

“Even as the Chief Minister is saying the law would take its own course, yet he is trying to divert the case. Why a case will not be filed against the DGP,” Pradhan wanted to know.

He reiterated that the Chief Minister order for a CBI probe soon and resign from his post taking moral responsibility.

He said while law and order is a State issue, they (BJD) are targeting the Union Ministry of Home Affairs only to cover the State Government’s failures.
