Indore: Dental college intern dies in road accident
Indore: A 26-year-old intern of a city dental college was killed after he was pushed by the truck driver on Aerodrome on Wednesday late night. The truck driver had recklessly overtaken his car after which he was trying to catch the truck driver when the accident happened.
Aerodrome police station in charge RD Kanwa said that the incident took place at around 12 am. Deceased identified as Dr Ankit Mandloi, a resident of Burhanpur was doing internship from Modern Dental College. Ankit along with his friends was returning home in their car when their car was recklessly overtaken by a truck driver. They tried to stop truck driver but he increased the speed after which Ankit and his friends started chasing him.
Ankit had opened the door of moving car and tried to catch the driver when he pushed him off. Ankit was injured after falling on the road. He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
After receiving information, a police team reached the spot and managed to nab the truck driver after a long chase. Ankit hailed from Burhanpur and was staying in Suryadev Nagar area for the studies. Police handed over his body to his family members after the postmortem.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the truck and car were moving parallel when Ankit tried to stop truck driver after opening car’s door. He was fighting with truck driver when he pushed him off.
