Even as the Supreme Court has commenced the day-to-day hearing in the vexed Ayodhya title suit, the Hindu side has given a proposal to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) asking it ti spare the disputed land for construction of Ram Temple and in lieu land will be given by Nirmohi Akhara for construction of Maszid-e-Imam-ul Hind.

The eight-page letter sent to AIMPLB chairperson Maulana Rabe Hassan Nadvi, and its copy given to eight other persons, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an organisation named Ayodhya Sadbhavna Samnvyay Maha Samiti promoted by Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, said Hindus are ready to give land for mosque to be built in Ayodhya only after the disputed land is handed over for Ram temple.

The letter sent by Samiti general secretary Amarnath Mishra to the AIMPLB on Wednesday was the first proposal given  by a Hindu side  to AIMPLB.

Earlier, the AIMPLB had said there was no concrete proposal from the opposite side. “If a proposal is given it will be considered.”

Amarnath Mishra is the one who had mediated on behalf of the Sri Sri in the past for resolving the Ayodhya issue.

The letter says hand over the disputed site to Hindus and build mosque in Ayodhya on a land that will be made available by the Nirmohi Akhara. Build a centre of international education in name of Bahadur Shah Zafar in Ayodhya, the letter suggested to the AIMPLB.
