(MENAFN) The U.S. hike on defence and domestic financing was described by budget hawks as a debt-ballooning "monstrosity".

The two-year hike agreement has been accepted by Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer along with Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell.

Intense resistance has risen within the House of Representatives on the agreement which aims to hike the Senate.

The bill has emerged as an approach to prevent yet another government shutdown, one day ahead of a deadline.
