A special program on pressure cooking featuring Chef Alli is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gray County K-State Research and Extension Office in Cimarron.
The program, "Let’s Make Sure It’s Dinner, not YOU," is a Women in Ag presentation. Electric pressure cooking is making a comeback due to efficiency, health, flavor and the reduction of cooking times, and Chef Alli will demonstrate four recipes for electric pressure cookers and provide kitchen tips.
Chef Alli has been stirring up a love of farm fresh cooking across Kansas for more than a decade. As a speaker, storyteller and chef, she is constantly seeking opportunities to connect with home cooks everywhere, sharing information, techniques, recipes and telling the real story of American agriculture from her first-hand experience.
There is limited seating for the program, and tickets are $5 and will include a light breakfast. Doors will open at 10 a.m.
