A church service had just started at a Texas home when police said one of the parishioners stabbed four people, including the pastor and a band member.
The incident occurred just after 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. The attacker, described as a male in his 30s, is in custody. He was a member of the church.
The pastor received multiple stab wounds to the chest. A band member was stabbed in the neck. Both were to the hospital with life threatening injuries, according to police.
Two other churchgoers were hurt trying to the attacker off the pastor.
Between 15 to 20 people were inside the house, which had been holding a nondenominational service that was part of a 40-day prayer pledge.
