When Cambridge native, comedian and social/political satirist Jimmy Tingle toured with his "Jimmy Tingle for President" show, he said he was running on his "comedic record." Now Tingle actually is running for public office as a Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor of Massachusetts. But Tingle doesn't seem to have lost his sense of humor as he brings his show "Humor for Humanity" to Ayer-Shirley Regional High School Feb. 9. "Humor for Humanity! Humor and Helping, Humor and Healing, Humor and Hope … HaH! HaH! HaH! HaH!" Tingle says. Proceeds from this event, presented by the Ayer-Shirley Regional School District and sponsored by Acre Bridge Transportation of Southboro, will be dedicated to supporting district programs.
