
Association TV drama writers has announced a new project to bring up scriptwriters for the future TV industry. The association will launch a three-month long training course on drama writing. The first session will start from March 2. Established drama writers, university teachers will take classes. Students will also be provided with real-life experiences of drama writing for TV by Programme Chiefs of satellite channels, directors, actors and crew members. The cost of each course has been fixed at six thousand taka in exchange of at least twenty four classes or eighty-four on-class credit hours plus certificate.
The announcement was made at the office of the association in Maghbazar in the capital on February 6. Masum Reza, president of the drama directors' association; Brindaban Das, vice-president of the association; Mesbah Uddin Sumon, general secretary and scriptwriter Tabarak Hossain Bhuiyan were present during the announcement. After the end of each session, three best scripts selected from the lot developed by trainees in the course of the training will be directed by noted directors.
Deadline for enlisting for the first session in March is set on February 27. Before that interested learners have been requested to send their applications to 20 Eskaton Road, Maghbazar or through the official website of the association.
