Garhwa sub-divisional officer Pradeep Kumar has instructed Meral CO to lodge FIR against those people who had assaulted the villagers during the Gram Sabha at Primary School Bajudih on February 01.
In a letter to Meral CO Rakesh Sahay, the SDO stated that the by the order of Honorable High Court, Jharkhand, for sand evasion from Bajudih sand Ghat, on February 1, Gram Sabha was organised at Primary School, in which nearly 250 villagers were present while CO Meral and Panchayat Sevak were deputed as authorities there. Videography of the entire programme was also being done.
About 90 per cent of people voted in favour of not lifting the sand. As soon as some people took their hands in favour of lifting of sand some people who present there manhandled and thrashed them.
After intervening of the police situation came under control. Later Villagers completed the proceedings of the gram sabha.
And the resolution of not allowing sand divergence to be unanimously passed.
If there is sand lifted from this ghat then it will be treated as illegal and legal action will be taken so that.
