This Carnival, Goan pop singer Olavo Rodrigues has produced a new a music video titled ‘Carnaval in Goa’, based on a song originally composed and written by late Chris Perry. The video is a tribute to the legendary artiste for his contribution in the field of Goan music.
Speaking about the video, Olavo says: “I have some great memories singing this song live with my guru Chris Perry at his last Carnival show in Navelim. Nobody knew much about this song but my team and I decided to make a video and to re-sing the song.”
Olavo also says that the song was earlier available in cassette form and therefore had to re-arrange and sung again. The video for the single took nearly a month to be ready.
The video was shot at a festival in Socorro-Porvorim by Clive D’Souza, the music is re-arranged by Joel Fernandes and the video is edited by Dotco while the recording and mixing was done by Velroy Fernandes. Musicians Cannon D’souza, Joel Fernandes and Keith Antao were also part of the venture.
