The BNP's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has alleged that the verdict against party Chairperson Khaleda Zia has reflected the vengeance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He came up with the instant reaction of his party to the verdict at a press briefing at the BNP's Nayapaltan central office on Thursday.
A tearful Rizvi said this verdict does not establish justice.
"We, did not see such a verdict anywhere in the world. A woman who lost her husband and a son, and only worked for people. All happened out of long-lasting vengeance. The verdict was given only to fulfill the PM's revenge.
Alleging that the verdict was given to extend the one-party rule, the senior BNP leader also said the country people have rejected the verdict with utmost hatred as it is anti-people."
