ASHLAND — Southern Oregon seniors Tanner Canaday and Scottie Stockman went out on a high note Wednesday in their final dual as Raiders, a 41-3 win against Simpson (Calif.) at Ashland Middle School.
Canaday, Stockman and Zane Wardwell were victorious as the 10th-ranked Raiders finished with a 12-5 dual record. They won four classes by forfeit while two went uncontested.
Stockman made quick work of Ben Gacayan in a 16-0 win at 149 pounds, finishing off the technical fall less than a minute into the second round. Canaday came up next to pin Layten Briggs in 5:20 in the 165-pound match.
Robert Mello gave Simpson its only points with a 1-0 defeat of Angelo Goumenidis at 174, but Wardwell ended the night when he completed a fall against Sean Frens 3:19 into the heavyweight bout.
SOU will be off until the Cascade Conference Championships, which will be hosted by the Raiders on Feb. 17 at Ashland High's Mountain Avenue Gym.
