House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Wednesday afternoon she has no plans to surrender the House floor, after staging a filibuster of sorts to protest the lack of progress on an immigration bill.
Nearly six hours into her occupation of the floor, Pelosi read a statement that said House Republicans intend to hold votes just as soon as Pelosi yields back.
"Well, I have no intention of yielding back, Mr. Speaker," she said.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) began speaking at 10:04am ET.
At 3:40 pm ET she says: "I have no intention of yielding back, Mr. Speaker."

The House doesn't give its members a filibuster option, but Pelosi managed a similar effect by using her "magic minute" to speak as long as she wants. House leaders are afforded this privilege, and usually use it to speak for five or 10 minutes after being yielded one minute to speak.
But there's no upper limit on how long a leader can use that minute, as Pelosi showed Wednesday.
She started at about 10:04 a.m., and was still going more than six hours later after speaking nonstop, with no breaks of any kind.
