The Bellingham Festival of Music presents the Intersection Trio for its annual winter recital, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8, in Western Washington University’s Performing Arts Center (516 High St. Bellingham). Composed of the widely admired violinist Laura Frautschi, cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper and pianist John Novacek, the Trio is known for seamlessly dovetailing a wide variety of repertoire.

The Bellingham Roller Betties open their eleventh season of roller derby with their annual preseason bout at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Lynden Skateway. The evening features a doubleheader: Red Riot vs Black Death and Blunt Force Trauma vs Wine Country Crushers. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for kids ages 8-12 and free for kids 7 and under through Brown Paper Tickets or at the door.
