On 2-8-18 at approximately 0508 hours, Odessa Police responded to the 2400 block of Oakwood in reference to a subject with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the 31-year-old complainant, who advised that someone had shot at her vehicle while she was delivering newspapers. The complainant advised that while she was sitting in her Nissan Altima, an unknown person discharged a firearm at her vehicle.
The complainant fled the scene eastbound on Oakwood to avoid being shot. The complainant lost sight of the suspect's vehicle as it turned off from behind her. The complainant advised that her 9-month-old daughter was sitting in the backseat of her vehicle during the incident. Officers observed multiple bullet holes in the front of the complainant’s vehicle. Residents in the neighborhood reported hearing several gunshots being fired.
There were no reports of any injuries. The complainant did not see what the suspect looked like. The suspect was occupying a newer model white Chevrolet Silverado with chrome bars on the bed of the truck.
