A man fatally shot by Denver police on Tuesday evening has been identified.
Alex Duran, 29, was shot inside a home in the 1800 block of South Alcott Street. He was taken to Denver Health medical center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the coroner’s office.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress when they encountered Duran, who was armed with a knife, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
