SC asks UP government to file vision document for protection of Taj Mahal

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the Uttar Pradesh government to file within four weeks a vision document for protection and preservation of the Taj Mahal.

The top court directed the state government to give details of number of trees planted in and around the Taj Mahal and in the Taj Trapezium Zone.


"Why is there a sudden flurry of activities in the Taj Trapezium Zone and why are leather industries and hotels coming up there?" the apex court asked the UP government.
