Ravnjak takes early 1-shot lead at CLPGA Q School
Tahnia Ravnjak set the early pace at the China LPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament yesterday as the Australian pro opened with a 5-under-par 67 for a one-stroke lead at Wanning on south China’s Hainan Island.
Chinese amateurs Du Mohan and Li Gengshan were a shot off the pace at the 54-hole tournament where the top 30 players (excluding ties) will receive their full playing card for the 2018 CLPGA Tour season. Japan’s Futaba Takimoto and Chinese Taipei’s Peng Chieh each carded rounds of 70 to sit equal fourth in the 88 player field that includes 41 amateurs.
