Lady Gators knocked out of soccer playoffs

WEST MONROE – The South Terrebonne girls soccer team’s season ended with a 3-0 loss to West Ouachita in the second round of the Division II playoffs on Wednesday night.

The No. 18 Lady Gators fell to 11-11-0 overall and No. 2 West Ouachita improved to 18-7-2 overall.

The match was scoreless at halftime and Savannah Anderson (eight saves) and Mikenzi Authement (three saves) each played in goal for the Lady Gators.

DIVISION II SECOND ROUND

NO. 1 HOLY CROSS 2, NO. 17 CENTRAL LAFOURCHE 0

At New Orleans, the Trojans trailed 1-0 at halftime from Pan-American Stadium and ended their season at 10-12-3 overall, while the Tigers improved to 17-3-2 overall and advance to the quarterfinal round.

DIVISION IV SECOND ROUND

NO. 3 NORTHLAKE CHRISTIAN 3, NO. 19 HOUMA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 1

At Covington, the Warriors got a goal from Brayden Hebert off an assist from Bailey Robichaux and trailed 2-1 at halftime.

The Warriors fell to 11-5-4 overall and Northlake Christian improved to 15-1-3 overall and advances to the quarterfinals.

 

Wednesday
