The Cabinet on Wednesday provided huge relief to the aspirants of the 6th JPSC civil services examination, conducted about a year ago. As many as 28,000 more candidates, who had appeared in the screening exam, would be added to the result published earlier by the Commission.
As per the decision, minimum cut off marks have been set for every category of the aspirants which would open the gate for total about 34,000 examinees to appear in the Mains examination, many more than the original list of 6,000 candidates.
“The Government through the decision would facilitate sufficient number of aspirants in appearing in the Mains from every category. Minimum marks have been set for every category like for the General it is 40 per cent of the maximum marks.
