PONDA: The Ponda police on Wednesday arrested
Basavraj Ramchandra Chavhan, 35, a native of
Karnataka residing within the Kundaim industrial estate, for possessing 120g of marijuana estimated to be worth Rs 25,000.
He was caught while waiting for a customer at the Savoi-Verem bus stop in Ponda.
Following his arrest, police produced Chavhan before the Ponda JMFC court seeking his custody to investigate the source of the narcotic.
