Yazd will be the venue of the first Symposium of Adobe Structure slated for March 6-17.
The capital of Yazd Province, which also is considered a major center for adobe architecture, will host the event where artists will make sculptures and structures with adobe and mud.
Organized by Yazd Visual Arts Association in collaboration with the municipality of the ancient city, the event seeks to promote vernacular adobe architecture and sculpture, Tandismag.com reported.

Enthusiasts are required to submit their plans to the secretariat on February 18-19 at the premises of Yazd Visual Arts Association near Khan Square, Qiam Street.
Proposals will be evaluated on February 20 and those selected will be announced the next day.
Opening ceremony is slated for March 6. Workshop of the symposium will start on the following day and participants will build their works as per their submitted plans and models.
The workshop will end on March 17. More details and conditions can be sought at Sasyazd.com, the website of the symposium.
