New Delhi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap as he became the first Indian wicket-keeper to effect 400 dismissals in ODIs, during the third match between South Africa and India at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

Dhoni effected the stumping off South Africa's stand-in-skipper Aiden Markram and the right-hander became his 400th dismissal in the 50-over format of the game. Overall, Dhoni is only the fourth wicket-keeper to do so as he is only behind the likes of Kumar Sangakkara, Adam Gilchirt and Mark Boucher in this illustrious list.

So far, (till Markram's dismissal) Dhoni had 294 catches and 106 stumpings to his name. As far as stumpings are concerned, Dhoni is well ahead of the pack as he has effected 106 of the same. Sangakkara is the second of the list with 99.

Meanwhile, in the catching department, Dhoni is still way behind the likes of Sangakkara, Gilchirt and Boucher. However, with his place all but guaranteed till the 2019 World Cup, expect Dhoni to challenge for this top spot as well.
