KOLLAM: The Trinity Lyceum School management has come to the fore with total support to their teachers who are accused in connection with the case of their 10th standard student Gowri Neha jumping from the top of the school building and committing suicide.
The management has considered their suspension period as leave and has given them their salary. The two teachers Sindhu Paul and Crescent Navis, who were on suspension, were allowed back on duty two days ago. The school authority welcomed them back by distributing cake and laddus.
Meanwhile, the education department has sought an explanation from the school management, regarding taking the teachers back on duty.
Gowri’s father R Prasannakumar has alleged that his daughter’s death was a murder. He has said that Gowri’s post-mortem report says that she got injured on her head first before she fell from the top of the school building.
He further alleged that though there are CCTV cameras installed all around the campus, no footage of Gowri falling from the top of the building was caught. “The police have only collected footages of Gowri hitting the ground. Gowri did not attend the private tuition class run by her class teacher Crescent Navis at her home, and for this reason she found fault with Gowri and punished her. Complaints against Gowri’s sister Meera’s class teacher Sindhu Paul have also been received. Following this we had gone to the school and asked not to torture our children unnecessarily. Sindhu Paul the seated Meera with the boys in her class after this incident. Sindhu and Crescent took away Gowri during lunch-hour on October 20, 2017, alleging that she intervened in this matter.”
He also said that no one had seen the three of them for almost 30 minutes after this, and no CCTV footages are also available of these three.
