NEW ORLEANS (AP) " The NBA game between the Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans has been delayed at least by a half-hour because of an apparent roof leak allowing water to puddle near one of the foul lines.

A public address announcement stated that Wednesday's 7 p.m. tip-off has been moved back to at least 7:30 p.m. while arena staff try to figure out how to keep the floor dry.

Officials have described the leak as "small," but say that it made sense to delay the contest at least 30 minutes in the interest of player safety.

Rain has fallen on and off throughout the day in New Orleans, but water on the court did not appear to be an issue during warm-ups.
