Comedian Mallika Dua thinks PadMan Challenge is a marketing gimmick, but wants the movie to do well

For the promotions of his upcoming flick ‘PadMan‘, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna challenged B-town celebs to hold up a sanitary pad, in order to fight the taboos around menstruation. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Mallika Dua wrote, “Always remember. Each time you feel weak, each time you feel lesser than your equals, each time you feel you’ve been made to feel lesser for no reason and that the fight has just about begun, when you feel society and the govt have not given you your due, hold up a sanitary pad and post a picture of it on Instagram. You will feel empowered. So empowered. Bye.”
Meanwhile, now, Mallika in a tweet refuted rumors that she didn’t agree with Akshay Kumar’s movie. Mallika Dua in a Twitter post has clarified, said that her jab was directed at the Pad Challenge, and not the film. She wholeheartedly supports Akshay’s film and cause, and hopes that the film does exceedingly well. Here is what Dua said.

Fo those who don’t know, feud between Akshay Kumar and Mallika Dua started when she claimed that Akshay had passed a sexiest comment during the Great Indian Challenge show. While Akshay never commented on the matter, Mallika, it seems, still holds a grudge against him.
To note, Akshay’s Pad Man challenge has taken social media by a storm and is slowly turning into a movement. Many big celebs like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan and others are taking up the #PadManChallenge.
