Auto drivers in Belagavi told to get clear papers by Feb 22

Belagavi: Police commissioner DC Rajappa looks serious about introducing mandatory meter rule in autorickshaws in the city in a gradual manner.

He has given a deadline of February 22 to autorickshaw owners to clear papers of their vehicles, if not done earlier. Checking of the documents will start on February 22 and autorickshaws without proper documents will be seized, he said.


"I have given a fortnight's time to auto owners to get clear papers related to their vehicles. Furthers steps will be taken one after the other in public interest," he told TOI
