Fraiser star John Mahoney dies at 77
Mickey, who played Pete Biker in Home Improvement, passed away yesterday after a long battle with an illness.
His rep Cherry Hepburn told Express.co.uk: “Mickey Jones died at 2:17 AM today [February 7] of the effects of a long illness.”
Since his death tributes have come pouring in from stars in the entertainment industry, with many taking to social media to pay their respects.
On Twitter, actor Darren W. Conrad shared a picture of himself and Mickey from 2006 with the caption: “R.I.P to my friend, MICKEY JONES!!! This was from 2006.

While actor Adam Baldwin described the TV legend as a “gentleman”, in a touching tribute, he wrote: “R.I.P Mickey Jones. A true gentleman.”
Anders Holms, who starred alongside the actor in the TV series Workaholics, also remembered the star writing: “R.I.P Mickey Jones. Thanks for getting weird with us.”
The news of the Justified actor’s death devastated screenwriter, David Michael Latt, who tweeted: “Damn. Such a sweet, nice man. Mickey Jones was one of the first people I asked to be in Jane White Is Sick and Twisted.
“In addition to being a great actor, he was also an amazing drummer.”

Mickey shot to fame on the US sitcom Home Improvement as Pete Bikers, he also had TV roles in Justified, Married With Children, and Entourage.
He was usually cast as a biker, hippie or worker, while his infamous role as Rodney ‘Hot Rod’ Dunham in Justified saw him play a drug dealer.
The TV star also appeared in a series of movies, including Tin Cup, The Last Best Sunday and Total Recall.
In 2009, he released an autobiography titled That Would Be Me, which was the catchphrase used by his Home Improvement character Pete Biker.

As well as forging a career as an actor, Mickey was also a professional musician and worked with Johnny River.
In 1966 he joined Bob Dylan as his drummer with The Band and went on to tour in Australia and Europe.
The following year he was approached to be the drummer for a new group called The First Edition, with lead singer Kenny Rogers.
The band had a series of hits including Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town and Just Dropped In.
