Lake, park to be developed

PATNA: The Adalatganj lake and Hardinge Park in Patna will be developed under the Smart City project.
A decision to this effect was taken at a review meeting convened by Patna divisional commissioner Anand Kishor, who is also the chairman of Patna Smart City Limited, the company formed to execute the Smart City-related work.

Kishor said the Adalatganj lake area would be re-developed at a cost of Rs 17 crore. He directed the officials concerned to get the detailed project report (DPR) ready in 15 days.


Similarly, the Hardinge Park will be developed at a cost of Rs 55 crore. Kishor told the officials to prepare its DPR by May 5.


The commissioner also set deadlines for various other projects to be undertaken under the 'Smart City' project, which included expression of interest for an open air theatre at Gandhi Maidan by February 18 and preparation of DPR for Mandiri Nala re-development by February 25.


He said altogether 1,000 CCTV cameras would be installed and 30 electric buses introduced in Patna. A sum of Rs 20 crore has been allocated for e-buses., he said.
