Our Correspondent / NEW DELHI

jaitelyUnion Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has accused the Congress of compromising with the national security by seeking details of the Rafale deal.

During his reply on the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha, Mr Jaitley said, it is a set precedent in earlier government also that details of the defence deals are not disclosed to the public.

Mr Jaitley said that disclosing the costing of a defence deal will let enemies know the capacity of weapons.

AIR Correspondent reports, during the reply, Congress members wanted that their party President Rahul Gandhi be allowed to speak on the issue, but the Chair did not allow.

Not satisfied with the Chair’s ruling, the agitated members trooped into the Well and remained stationed there until the Minister’s reply was over.

Earlier, talking to media outside Parliament, Rahul Gandhi criticised Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for changing her stance on the Rafale deal.

Mr Gandhi said, earlier the Minister had said that the price of the deal will be revealed but now, the government is refusing to disclose the price under the garb of secrecy. Mr Gandhi said, it seems that she is trying to hide corruption.
