DSP holds meeting on child rights, laws

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarter) Sandeep Gupta held a meeting with the child welfare officials in his office room on Tuesday. Primarily, the laws and their rights of children were discussed. Gupta directed officials for complying of aforesaid law. He instructed all the police stations to initiate Balmitra Police station at all Police station. Besides, DSP also directed to the  welfare officials gave information about child-friendly behavior. 

He gave detailed information about the prevailing law related to children POSCO Act, Child Marriage Prevention Act, Child Labour Elimination Act and directed to take strict action against people who violating these laws.

Apart from this, he also reviewed the action done under these laws as well as the members of Child Welfare Officer and Child Welfare Committee of various police stations.

In the meeting, District Child Protection Officer Ashok Nayak, Chairman of Child Welfare Committee, Child Welfare Officer, etc. were present.
