Members of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) on Wednesday met Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari to discuss the amendments to Master Plan 2021. Representatives from 65 RWAs presented their views to Tiwari on amendments.
Notably, RWAs are not in the favour of purposed amendments and they seek relief in escalated charges of water and power in Delhi. “RWAs discussed about the undue recovery of power charges at commercial rates for the use of water booster motors by the group housing societies and local MLAs running parallel RWAs at many places,” the Delhi BJP said in a Press statement.
Tiwari assured the RWAs that the party sensitive towards their concerns and they are working to ensure that further commercial construction does not take place in residential areas and in the area falling under mixed-land use, the residents do not face problems of electricity, water and sewer.
He also said the BJP will put pressure on the AAP Government to charge power at residential rates for the water booster motors and the party also opposes the parallel RWAs by the ruling party MLAs.
