The Jagaar Mela organised by the State Government’s Village Industries Department had been extended till February 11.
The date had been extended for four more days keeping in mind the huge demand by the public, officials informed.
It may be mentioned here that Jagaar Mela 2018 is being held at Pandri Ghat in the capital.
CM Raman Singh opened the Jagaar Mela on Jan 30. The timings of the exhibition is from 11:00- 9: 00 pm. Cultural programmes are conducted 7: 00 pm daily for the entertainment of the general public. Chhattisgarhi dishes are available at the fair.
The Handicrafts Development Board officials said that handicrafts and handloom fabrics worth Rs 52 lakh had been sold till date at the fair. About 200 artisens from fourteen states-Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, AP, Telengana, Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharsahtra, West Bengal are participating in the Jagaar Mela.
