To enrich the technical skills of young students, 7th Bhopal Science Fair 2018 is being organised from Friday in the city. The four-day long Science Fair will be held at BHEL Dussehra ground.
The Science Fair is jointly being organised by Vigyan Bharati and Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology.
While talking about the Bhopal Science Fair Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta told the media persons, “The Mela is aimed at spreading and propagating development in the field of science and technology to masses, creating scientific awareness among students and masses and exhibit strengths and potential of indigenous science and technology.”
He further said that all three days of the science fair will be filled with information and technology along with the cultural performances as well. Various science competitions would be held for students during the event. Besides, a craft mela will also be organized.
“The major attractions would include display of advances in science and technology, display of appropriate low-cost rural technologies, pavilion depicting environment awareness with regards to health and climate impact,” Gupta added.
A special session on the theme of 'Science and Spirituality' would be organised on Friday. Several theme pavilions such as Technology Demonstration Pavilion, Handicraft Pavilion and Medicinal Plant Pavilion would be present. Besides, there would be pavilions for government schemes such as Make-in-India and Startup India.
Every day interactive programme on science for masses 'Jan Jan Ke Liye' would be organised to address senior citizens, children and women as well.
