Experts discuss role of drones in biodiversity

SHARJAH: The 19th Sharjah International Conservation Forum for Arabian Biodiversity (SICFAB) continued on Tuesday with a focus on drones and their role in the conservation of biodiversity locally and regionally. There was an open discussion on the problems, strategies and equipment that contribute to the development of a regional network of drone users and sessions covering how they are operated and used.

Experts attending SICFAB also went on a field trip to Mleiha archaeological area to see the applied uses of drones.

This was followed by a trip to Mleiha Archaeological Centre, and further discussion on the importance of using drones to conduct environmental surveys.
