That’s according to Sky Sports pundit Liam Rosenior.

The Italian was in charge at Stamford Bridge for two years, leading them to the league and cup double in 2010.

Ancelotti has been backed to return to the club amid reports that Antonio Conte could be close to leaving following a miserable run of results.

Chelsea were thrashed 4-1 at Watford on Monday, just days after an embarrassing 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth.

And Rosenior believes that bringing in some familiar faces will lift the mood among the players and fans.

“Carlo Ancelotti is an outstanding manager and I’ve always respected the work he’s done.”

“Carlo Ancelotti is an outstanding manager and I’ve always respected the work he’s done.

“He’s the type of character who will go in and lift people.

“The atmosphere isn’t great. If you had JT come in alongside him, the fans would accept that.”
