Rodriguez is currently in the midst of a two-year loan spell in Germany with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
But it seems he’s kept in contact with plenty of people back at the Bernabeu despite heading for the exit door last summer.
The latest reports from Spain suggest Rodriguez has been in touch with Real to warn them about Barcelona’s transfer activity.
And the La Liga outfit have the playmaker’s close ties to his former club Monaco to thank for the tip off.
According to Don Balon, Rodriguez has told Real that Barcelona are looking to strengthen by signing Lemar.
The 22-year-old is one of Europe’s hottest properties and is refusing to sign a new Monaco deal.
News of Barcelona circling in the mist following that snub has got back to Rodriguez, who’s passed it on to Real.
Real will be boosted by claims that Barcelona face a battle to get Lemar on-board though.
Monaco are ready to fight tooth and nail to keep the France international at the Stade Louis II.
Liverpool and Arsenal, meanwhile, are prepared to go up against Barcelona in the hope of securing Lemar’s signature.
