Updated: City Council approves contract for new city administrator

The Jamestown City Council voted 4-0 to approve a contract to hire a new city administrator at a special meeting Thursday.

The City Council came to terms with Sarah Hellekson to become the new city administrator, replacing Jeff Fuchs, who retired at the end of 2017 after 40 years of working for the city. Councilmember Pam Phillips was absent.
