Excitement is mounting for this year’s BRIT Awards - especially as our very own Liam Gallagher is up for Best Male Solo Artist.
Back in 2010 Bolton comic Peter Kay called Gallagher a “k***head” after the Oasis frontman threw his microphone into the crowd during a foul-mouthed award acceptance speech when picked up the award for best British album of the last 30 years for 1995’s What’s The Story (Morning Glory).
So we have high hopes for some hell-raising at the usually cordial ceremony which will be broadcast live from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on ITV1 on Wednesday February 21.

Held at the O2 Arena in London, this will be the 38th annual music awards with comedian Jack Whitehall hosting.
New Rules singer Dua Lipa is up for the most awards on the night.
Who is performing?
Three-times BRITs winner Justin Timberlake joins Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Sam Smith, Stormzy, Rita Ora, Rag’n’Bone Man and Jorja Smith who will all take to the stage.
Justin is bringing his Sexy Back 15 years after he hit the headlines by grabbing Kylie Minogue’s derriere on stage at the ceremony.
