Auto Expo 2018: All New Honda CR-V Makes India Debut
Already being a popular model among the petrol premium SUVs, this is the first time that the all new Honda CR-V will also be introduced with diesel powertrain

Indian arm of Japanese car manufacturer Honda has revealed the all-new fifth generation of its premium SUV – the Honda CR-V, at the Auto Expo 2018. This is the India premiere of the new generation CR-V.
Already being a popular model among the petrol premium SUVs, this is the first time that Honda CR-V will also be introduced with diesel powertrain. The vehicle is scheduled to be launched in India during upcoming fiscal 2018-19.
While presenting the vehicle at the Auto Expo 2018, the company said that the all-new 5th Generation Honda CR-V presents itself as the benchmark for Next Generation SUV in terms of design essence, driving performance, advanced functions and features.
Speaking on the occasion, Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India said, “The All-New CR-V with its diesel introduction will help us fortify our presence in upper segments.”
Building strongly on the previous four generations, the all-new 5th Generation Honda CR-V comes with new styling featuring LED headlights and tail lights, LED Daytime Running Lights, a sharp-lined front grille, and new sporty-designed alloy wheels.
The all-new CR-V’s interior has a spacious cabin and comes with an option of third-row seating.
Honda CR-V has remained one of the popular choices among premium SUVs globally and is sold in over 160 countries with more than 9.4 million units sold worldwide to date, claims the carmaker.
At the Auto Expo 2018, Honda Cars India also displayed their current models including Accord Hybrid, Honda City, Honda WR-V, Honda BR-V, Honda Jazz and Honda Brio.
