WILMINGTON -- The Wilmington Area Woodturners Association will meet 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 10 at St. Marks Catholic Church, 1013 Eastwood Road. Admission is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Annual memberships are available at the door.
Woodturner artisan Mike Sorge will be the featured demonstrator. The California native will show how he makes "Big Air" Geometric Turnings and how to safely turn large diamonds, triangles and squares. He will also demonstrate turning a Utilitarian Diamond Bowl with a second inner cored bowl, a heart bowl and his Trillium (triangle) Pagoda, lidded box.
