Navy apprehends gold smugglers in Northern Seas (Photos) 
Based on information received by Sri Lanka Navy, a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command has apprehended two gold smugglers in the sea area Northwest of Kankesanthurai Lighthouse last evening (Feb. 06).
The Navy personnel have recovered 3.7kg of gold from the suspects.
The suspects are residents of Madagal and had been concealed 37 biscuits of gold, each weighing 100g, in a dinghy.
The estimated value of the find is believed to be over Rs. 20 million.
