Authorities have identified the man found inside a Ridgefield Park house destroyed by fire as Luis Ocha-Sanchez, 73, who lived in the single-family home on Brinkerhoff Street.

Police and firefighters were called about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a person trapped inside the home, according to Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.

"When the Ridgefield Park Police and Fire Departments arrived on scene, the single family residence was consumed by heavy fire," Calo said in a statement.

Ocha-Sanchez was unaccounted for and presumed to be inside, Calo said.

During the investigation, Ocha-Sanchez's body was found inside, Calo said.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, authorities said.
