Issuance of NIC's fast-tracked

The Department of Registration of Persons says the one-day service to issue National Identity Cards has been further fast-tracked.

Speaking to us, its Commissioner-General Viyani Gunathilaka said the applications to obtain NIC's under one-day service has risen to a greater extent due to Saturday's Local Government election.
