The government is all set to introduce a bill giving ancestral property rights to maiden grand-daughters who have lost their father. The Revenue Code (Amendment) Bill will be tabled in the budget session of the legislature, commencing tomorrow. "The UP Revenue Code (Amendment) Bill, 2018, will be introduced in the assembly session (commencing tomorrow).

In this, amendments have been made in clauses 108 and 110 in the original act (Revenue Code, 2006) to give rights over ancestral land to grand-daughters who have lost their father," an said here.
