Felony arrests

Identity Theft — Tanya Marie Bearden, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested Bearden Tuesday on additional felony charges of identity theft and additional misdemeanor charges of third-degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. Medford police originally arrested Bearden Jan. 24 for violating her parole on a prior methamphetamine-possession conviction and sheriff's deputies arrested her Jan. 26 on a California fugitive warrant. She remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Theft — Toykay Johnson, 54, of the 2600 block of Brookside Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Johnson Monday on a felony charge of first-degree theft and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of first-, second- and third-degree theft, possessing heroin, reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Drugs — Walter Adam Nitowski III, 57, of the 3500 block of Antelope Road, White City. Medford police arrested Nitowski Monday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine and on felony warrants for separate charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail Monday and released Tuesday because of overcrowding.

Aggravated Theft — Michael Richard Cook, 38, of the 1900 block of Camp Baker Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Cook Tuesday on felony charges of aggravated first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree burglary. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Thomas Charles Huff, 42, no known address. Medford police arrested Huff Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of menacing. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $12,500 bail.

Rape — Enrique David Mendez, 23, no known address. Medford police arrested Mendez Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree rape and second-degree sexual abuse, and on a misdemeanor charge of furnishing liquor to a minor. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $262,500 bail.

Crime reports

Vandalism — 900 block of Chevy Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism at 12:58 a.m. Monday. A large glass window at the front of a store was reported vandalized, and the damage was valued at $500.

Vandalism — 3600 block of Aviation Way, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to vehicles at 6:39 a.m. Monday. Fuel lines were reported cut on multiple trucks, and the damage was valued at $1,500.

Theft — 2200 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of about 80 gallons of fuel stolen at 9:57 a.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $240.

Vandalism — 700 block of Swing Lane, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a vehicle at 1:01 p.m. Monday. The vehicle was reported keyed in a single line and the windshield broken. The damage was valued at $900.

Theft — 700 block of Royal Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of 4 fire extinguishers stolen at 6:25 p.m. Monday. The loss was valued at $200.

Burglary — 1500 block of Village Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday. Jewelry items reported stolen included an emerald ring, two flat gold necklaces, a pearl ring, a ring with several diamonds set in it, a sapphire ring in an antique setting and a diamond necklace. The loss was valued at $9,292.
