A MAN who stole a watch from an Oxford jewellers after trying it on in store is sought by police. 

The theft took place at Goldsmiths in the Clarendon Centre on December 4 at around 3pm.

Police issued their appeal today. 

A man, who was captured on CCTV, tried on a watch and then left the shop without paying.

Investigating Officer PC Ben Renshaw based at Oxford Investigation Hub said: "I am keen to speak to the man in this CCTV image, as he may have information which is vital to our investigation.
